Tribute To Wayve Berg Bradley

Precious Wayve Berg Bradley slipped into the arms of Jesus this week.
Let us pay tribute.
“MZ Wayve” (my nick name for her) was a mentor/friend to many including me. I wrote about her life in “Autumn Rain” Chapter Nine– Harvest Beauty.
Let us bow down and honor her exceptional life in celebration.

Holy God;
Indeed YOU have summoned a servant who walked, taught, sang and lived The Gospel.
Her life was a signpost.
Her will was purposed to carry YOUR TRUTH.
Her heart percolated with a deliberate devotion to God.
” When we behold a life of faith that has met the seasons, adjusted and continued, a harvest is inevitable.
The autumn rain has done its work.
They have sown seed, watched and prayed and loved a God of trust and vigilance.
They have not been exempt from the elements of storms.
They have roots that are deeply established and a lifetime of pruning with a clear resolve to serve at all costs.
When we glimpse such a life, we are summoned to a higher ground because Jesus is visible as the source of beauty in their lives.”
Wayve possessed a contagious laughter, an insightful wit and a burning heart to win souls for the Kingdom.
She was God’s appointed messenger.
How I thank YOU Father for my brief but beloved moments with her;
Teasing her about the name of her street in Minnesota– Flying Cloud.
Remarking to her that one day there would be a lift off to heaven,
Remembering my last conversation with her when she was hospitalized recently.
She told me about speaking to a young doctor about Jesus and praying with him.
These were times of affirmation.
This was our Wayve– always abounding in the grace of God, seizing the moment for Jesus.
She was always using all she had been given for Jesus.

” Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant?” Isaiah 50:10

In words left behind by Helen Duff Baugh, a mentor and friend, Wayve described herself as ” a woman simple enough to believe God.”
Indeed, simple and profound she was.

“All your waves and breakers have swept over me.” Psalm 42:7

The waves of life will take us out if possible.
The Waves of God transport us to deeper Truth.
The Wave of God is a blessing.
Our Wayve now knows His Wave in honor and glory.
We praise YOUR NAME Holy God for this woman of strength, wisdom and beauty.
She adored her family and her friends adored her.
We ask for Divine comfort for her legacy.
May we all move towards the City called Glory as she did with intentionality and fervor as the journey of faith continues for all of us who are momentarily left behind.
She will now join the great host of believers who will cheer us on in our pilgrimage.
We have work to do.
Hers is finished.
Hallelujah, she is home!

In Jesus’ Name we pray.
