Rescued and Ready
Our Love of God promises rescue.
” Because he loves me”, says the lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him for he acknowledges my name.”
..Psalms 91:14
Who doesn’t want rescue?
My car was turning into the corner spot at the beauty shop. It is slightly elevated as you drive into it for there is a grassy embankment. On the other side is a side walk with steps leading to a walkway so one can walk up to the shops. My foot was on the brake to stop and then a surreal experience took over. The sound of the engine roared and the car surged forward. I was trying to brake. It was not working.
I cried out ” Father, stop the car.”
HE DID.
A concrete wall built around a huge dumpster stopped the car.
The tail of the car was wedged on the grassy knoll and the front was crushed against the wall. The car was suspended.
Shocked, stunned but safe I was.
People rushed to my aid and as I stepped out of the car and looked at the mangled mess, shuddering, I prayed again as two men stood by me.
” Lord, I do not know why this happened. I do not understand why but You answered my prayer. You stopped the car and I am safe.
Thank you. In Jesus name I thank YOU.”
I was rescued.
There were two and one half feet of tread marks visible where I tried to stop the car.
” He will call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him.” Psalms 91:15
I was delivered.
Many details followed, stress, plans rearranged, but God was with me.
He still is.
Why?
Because of Love.
There will be good days and bad days. God will meet you today where ever you are .
Be present to HIM.
Be ready.
Oh how HE loves you and me.
