The Practice of Praise
A thankful life is contagious!
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever”!I Chronicles 16:34
Remember Your God.
He remembers you.
When you remember , thanksgiving grows in your heart.
Your faith drinks in possibility.
Scripture tells us –”to thank God”.. so just do it.
Why?
Because He is good ALL THE TIME
That is His character.
He means good for you. He brings good out of bad.
He is in your life working out good.
Praise Him because He is good. Praise is good for you.
When you cease to thank Him, disobedience is doing its work and the well of hope in your life is drying up!
We MUST PRACTICE PRAISE– every day!
Thank Him when you are sick.
I did so this week.
I had an acute allergic reaction with the swelling together of my eyes while I was sitting in Kellye’s Benefit Concert in Jackson TN.
A bizarre experience but allowed by God.
I was praying her through.
I was thanking God for His provision in my extremity.
I was taken out but He was there!
There just HAPPENED to be an retinal surgeon in the audience who came to my aid.
He led my husband and me to his office and gave me an exam/instruction/medication.
“God’s steadfast love endures forever.”…
He was demonstrating it through this crisis.
I was holding on it it during the crisis.
Thank Him in all circumstances.
When the check hasn’t come and the rent is due, when the promotion is given to someone else, when you are disappointed and wounded. You are in a test.
Thanksgiving and praise raise the bar of faith to a higher level.
The enemy of your soul hates that kind of sure, substantive faith.
God loves impossibilities.
He is working behind the scenes, in the scene, going before, securing your way.
Every time the children of Israel messed up, it was because they forgot to REMEMBER
