Is Anything the Same?
How moving is the exhortation from God’s Word that we are to “keep on loving one another as brothers” or (sisters):0) Hebrews 13:1
To keep on — doing anything — means we will have to overlook a lot of stuff.
What is your stuff?
Is it the same as mine?
Probably.
Words like unforgiveness, anger, discontent, insult, jealousy, pride crowd out Love, crowd out our–KEEPING ON!
Love accepts.
Love pardons.
Love embraces.
People change .
They are not the same.
Disappointment knocks a hole in expectation and nothing is the same.
Birthdays come and go and the mirror on the wall declares- we are not the same.
Wars erupt ; the world is not the same
Katrina hit; New Orleans is not the same.
What is the same?
Oatmeal every day?
Going to bed and getting up?
Doing life in a rut?
Life happens.
BUT.
God prevails.
We are told to KEEP ON LOVING.
” Never will I leave you;
Never will I forsake you
So we say with confidence;
The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid
What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5b-6
Is there a constant?
There is .
His Name is Jesus.
HE REMAINS.
HE IS THE SAME
How do I know?
The Bible tells me so:
” Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever,: Hebrews 13:8
What a Savior!
What a promise!
What a tomorrow!
KNOWING HE is with us brings HOPE for today and the next day and the following one– FOREVER!
HE IS THE SAME!!!!
Bow down with me and worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
Stand up in confidence
HE is the Sovereign Lord.
What can man do?
Think about it.
Live it!
Halleujah!
We live in anticipation of MORE.
OUR GOD REIGNS!
