A Soul Lift
” Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way to go,for to you I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8
The balmy spring weather is a tonic to the soul.
Pear trees are bursting with fragile white blooms.
Runners are running.
Walkers are walking.
Poets are pondering.
My bubble gum pink bike is calling to me…” get on me and ride.”
My tennis shoes are screaming to me– “Just do it.”
Spring has sprung.
Fuschia Geraniums are begging to be planted.
Sunny jonquils are winking.
Bird song beckons.
Waking up is the best part for morning lovers.
The promise of tomorrow begins as night falls and the Gardener of our soul plows the mind and prepares the heart to ” receive your unfailing love once again.”
The Love of God is the only love that WILL NOT FAIL–EVER!
YOUR WORD, O Lord is sure and true.
I need a path.
I need a guide.
I need YOU.
I want to throw off every weight that hinders me from YOUR BELOVED PRESENCE and I have had some weights.
Anxiety, confusion, fatigue, doubt, fear have kept my wheelbarrow from rolling.
My soul need aeration, seeds, fertilizer , pruning.
Open my ears, Lord.
Sometimes I am hearing impaired.
Open my eyes, Lord.
Some times I cannot see what is in front of me.
Open my senses to smell and touch YOUR LIFE with all the expectancy of a child at play.
Breathe upon my soul today and lift it.
I choose to see YOUR Divine Hand in an unexpected surgery of a friend …in the fresh angusih of my neighbor’s crushing loss…..in the laughter of a new baby….in the deliberate walk of my aging mother.. in an answer to prayer for a Prodigal… in the brilliance of a spring day filled with loveliness and possibility for YOU ARE IN ALL OF THESE THINGS and more.
They mirror YOUR concern, providence, beauty, joy — YOUR PROMISES of new life.
Every morning.
May we all seek Your unfailing Love and embrace it.
Every morning.
We will then be able to find our way.. the good way and our souls will bloom again.
God’s blessings are beautiful.
Dig and delight.
Plant and pray.
Stir and saturate your life with His Word.
On the journey with you,
Billie

What a beautiful poem and JUST WHAT I NEEDED at the moment. Yet, I am not surprised, as God is ALWAYS ON TIME! We serve a LIVING God. The Way, the Truth and the Life!
