A Loving God Loving You
” Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God…God is Love” I John 4:7a and 8b
Did you know God expects you to love others?
Have you ever pondered why?
Do you have this kind of love?
Love coming from God, brought to and through you because of a relationship to HIM is a Love that is eternal–EVERLASTING.
Indeed it is the sure kind of love.
How do we know it’s true?
“This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through Him.” I John 4:9
So God did something significant to prove His love.
He sent Jesus.
Why did we need this act?
“This is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” I John 4:10
Sin blocks love.
It can be a subtle, surface, suggestive stream of deliberate bombarding darkness assaulting our minds– ugliness.
Sin has no beauty.
It can also seem to be a bottomless drowning black hole that swallows up life every day with the weighted sensation of no relief, no light, no rescue.
Sin deceives and settles in.
We simply do not have the capacity to Love without God.
Sin will see to it.
Love is more than feelings, more than a moment, more than an idea.
Our sin keeps us from loving one another.
We live in a world filled with greed, jealousy, pride, personal gain, entitlement, anger, interuptions.
On any given day we can find ourselves toying with sin, just entertaining the thought. Where does that come from?
Not from God!
We live ” on the surface.”
God wants us to live from within, from a deep abiding Love in Christ Jesus that will always be enough, always pour out for others, always know sufficiency for it is based on real sacrifice and revealed to us from the Word of God.
God is Love.
Jesus is God loving you.
“..We know and rely on the love God has for us.” I John 4:16
Reliable love.
So can we love one another?
” Whoever loves God must also love his brother” IJohn 4:21
WE MUST
When we fail, can we be restored through forgiveness and given more love?
WE CAN
Through our relationship to Jesus, ” Love is made complete…” I John 4:17a
A complete love is always being renewed.
Do you KNOW this Love?
Come.
Seek.
Find.
This Love of God is reaching to your heart this day.
A loving God is longing to love you.
Think about it.
When we belong to Jesus, we become ” His dear children.. because the One who is in us is greater then the one who is in the world.” I John 4:4
His Love overcomes.
Every time.
A greater Love for you.
