A GLOWING LAMP
” For YOU cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine;
the Lord my God illumines my darkness.” Psalm 18:28
We are all ordinary
But God is NOT.
Where ever HE is, there is light and HE has promised to bring light into our lives.
Do you think it is just for our own pleasure?
It is not.
Sure we want to SEE where we are going.
Sure we want to BE a person who makes a difference.
BUT
Our God grows OUR LOVE FOR HIM as we seek HIM.
We yearn for His WAYS.
His Word LIGHTS our hearts and becomes strength.
His Presence TRANSFORMS self effort into God ordained empowering
His Fellowship ENGAGES the darkness through prayer.
CHRIST IN ME
WHAT SIGNIFICANCE!
Loving Him for Himself NOT what He can give us is the key to shining, for a life that illuminates this love is not aware of it.
So think about His Love today, embrace HIM.
BE in His Word.
LOVE His Presence.
REACH out to someone.
BE PRESENT.
Let His Light shine through your life by loving Him supremely.
If you do, there will be a glow.
Your lamp will be lit.
Your life will shine.
Others will be drawn to the Savior.
HE IS THE LIGHT…
On the bus, in the dentist’s office, at work, shopping, gardening,having your morning coffee, taking medication– common acts in an ordinary day exhibit the difference HE makes in your life.
Light makes a difference
An Uncommon God,
An Uncommon Light,
A Lamp that shines.
The Light of Jesus in our lives will bring His Light to someone today.
